General Manager Performance and Talent - Auckland Cricket Association 

As General Manager Performance & Talent, you will take responsibility for leading the High-Performance programme, providing direction and support for our key personnel covering the male, female, talent identification and development, and player and coach development programmes. The role will drive the strategic direction of the high-performance department to deliver on its aim to be the largest producer of domestic and international talent in New Zealand through an individualised approach that supports consistently performing teams.  


You will be responsible for creating an integrated, aligned, and collaborative high-performance network that drives long term development within our high-performance system. Your role will be critical in developing and growing strong relationships that will aid in this key strategic goal, including with our main partner, New Zealand Cricket.​​​​​​​

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A proven track record in professional high performance sporting environments.
  • Ability to lead strategic planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Strategic programme design, delivery and assessment experience including the development and management of annual strategic and operational plans.
  • Prior contract / list management or negotiation experience would be an advantage.
  • Business acumen to include budget management and delivery, financial application to specific programmes and review.
  • Strategic leadership including progressive people management to drive a professional development culture.
  • Ability to influence others and constructively challenge if/when required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with a very diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification within sports management or business.

Community Sport Advisor - ActivAsian (Fixed Term)

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and well- connected individual to join our Community Sport Team who will be responsible for coordinating our ActivAsian programme in Central Auckland. This is a fixed term role through to 30th November 2024 

Our well-respected Community Sport Team is tasked with increasing community participation in sport, play and active recreation within our communities of activity.  The Community Sport Advisor - ActivAsian  role focuses on being well connected within our Asian community to educate them & support provision of physical activity participation opportunities, and  about the value and benefits of sport, and active recreation.  

To be considered for this role you will possess:

  • A sound understanding of Sport Auckland’s role within the community.
  • A strong understanding of NZ’s biculturism, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our cultural diversity
  • A passion, drive and affinity to work alongside our Asian community
  • Qualifications in sport, events, marketing or business
  • Experience delivering or coordinating community programmes that promote healthy active lifestyles    
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING COORDINATOR

Netball Northern Zone is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as Communications and Marketing Coordinator.  We want to hear from you if you are passionate about creating compelling content, managing social media, and engaging stakeholders.

Netball Northern Zone is one of five Regional Sporting Organisations for netball in New Zealand.  Our Zone reaches from Waiuku to the Far North and we work with over 33% of New Zealand’s netball playing population.

The Northern Zone Netball C&M Coordinator primarily supports the Northern Zone Netball Managers and Community Netball Team personnel with their communication, marketing and administration needs.

The Northern Zone Netball C&M Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Communications to netball centres
  • Management of social media channels
  • Maintenance of databases relevant to the Zone Community team
  • Creation all material content for Community Team events and engagements
  • Admin support as directed by the Northern Zone Managers

Key Skills and Attributes required for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Excellent knowledge of digital applications, use of cameras, editing and producing video and social media content
  • Excellence in written communications – story telling, newsletters and email
  • Good stakeholder management with interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills that generate mutual respect and trust.
  • Provides prompt, efficient and personalized service to colleagues and Centres

The position requires the ability to work autonomously to achieve results, prioritise workflow from various sources and enjoy being part of a dedicated, hardworking team. You will be highly organised, confident and calm, with a can-do attitude.

The role is fixed term, part time25 hours per week, with potential to extend hours and term in future. There is some requirement of out of business hours mahi to capture content for storytelling, and event logistics. The remuneration package is commensurate with experience and includes tools of trade (laptop, phone) and apparel.
